SAVE ME

Early morning
came a sparrow to me
chirped and pecked at me
to wake me up.

'Good Morning', it whispered in my ears,
and began to cry, it did.
And told me the sorrow
of being left alone.

Look at the sky, it said
no bird there left to fly.
All killed by humans
mobiles the weapons.

'Family all went
friends all died
the vast sky, a monster
scare me till I die.'

Feel pity on me
Oh Civilized!
Save me
Oh Child of God!

Save me from
the deadly thing that kills-
when the mobile
switches on.

Tell me
Oh learned!
Should I give birth to a child
to send it to the house of death???

What should I do
when the world's against me,
destroying my home
killing my family?

All greenery gone
my nest all black
the smoke comes
vast in proportion
and takes away with it
my breath of relief.

Save the earth
Oh learned!
Save the life
Oh civilized!
Because will you not
the life will not save you!
