GET OUT!

This is one of  those moments
when a thousand thoughts
fluttering in your head
and every muscle in your body
tells you just one thing -

GET OUT!

One of those moments
when your hand
hovers over a blank sheet of paper
stopped
not by lack of ideas
but by the fear of them.

One of those moments
when you wish with all your hearts
for a non-dramatic,
non-movie-ish story,
with a fear of what that might really mean.

When every cell in your brain,
every ligament and every tendon of your body
gets tensed
for the fear of the future,
a fear of uncertainty
or maybe just
the fear of certainty.

When your eyes hold back the tears
and lips restrain the quivers
when your face pretends
to not be numb.

It is ironic
that even the Sun only appears
when the fog starts thinning
for life is grey,
no victories but battles
directionless with purpose
to-do's without a hope for vigor
a rush to work
not because of dedication
but to escape the painful thoughts
just waiting in the vicinity.

And still the one thought -
Get out!
With the simple truth -
You can't...

Redemption!

Another day is up and about
And the loneliness persists.

It is as strong as if I were alone.

When life becomes a constant mess,
And the only words that come to mind are
‘Get out of here!’
Depression becomes the order of the day.

Misery is comfortable
And logics take a strong mind.

When mistakes rule the world
And apologies became a daily routine,
When the mind loses its sanity
And reasons give way to cribbing.

When we become a burden on the people who love us
And we lose faith on ourselves,
That’s when the clock strikes twelve
And the truth dawns in…

Change!
Fight!
Become yourself!

The mistakes we made in the past
We cannot undo,
The time we lost,
We cannot bring back.
The things we broke,
We cannot fix them again.

But the mess we made,
We can clean it up again.
We cannot bring back the beginning
But we can give it a new beginning.

So let us redeem ourselves
Let us be the person we wanted to be.
Let us the walk the path we were meant to walk
And let us stop being afraid of our steps!

If life already is a mess,
The worst we could do
Is mess it up some more.
But if we succeed,
We could bring back the sense of self we had lost.

So let’s keep fighting!
If we lose,
We will be back to where we began.
If we win,
Ours will be the world,
And ours will be the life.

So stop fearing,
Get your gear
And get, set, go…

Because O’ faithless wanderer,
Life is too short to lose yourself
And too long if you be someone else.

So make your own way,
Set your own goals,
And walk away to the mountains that await.

For in this world,
The golden letters will fade,
But as long as you walk your way,

You shall always remain…

HIS FACE!

In the dark forest I stood
engulfed by darkness
from the canopy
of the trees.

Vision was zero
and all I could see was darkness,
darkness that was surrounding me
from all directions.

Tried all the things, I did
Gayatri Mantra was on my tips
chants of Krisna on my lips
but none gave confidence to me.

Suddenly sensed something around me
and when I went a bit ahead.
His face I saw, shining like
the only star in the darkened sky.

My heart lurched at the sight of Him
true devotion it was I realized then
What in the heavens was happening to me?
Was that light meant only for me?

Just then I realised I could feel
the happiness of Budhha on attaining enlightenment
because I felt I could sense
that same circle of enlightenment around me.

'Cause only His Face could give me strength
which I was looking for
in that dark forest.

The sight of His face
made me want to live again
and forget the moments I had spent
in that dark forest.

If the darkness be the difficulty of life
then His face will be the solutions for tough times.
If the canopy be the closed doors
then His face will be the handles
to open those doors leading to a new life.

So O'noble men! listen
if in life you find yourself
in front of those locked doors
then crave in the darkness
for the sight of His face
'cause that is the face that will lead you
to the open gates!
