WHO I AM!

It was so easy once,
to win.
It is so easy now
to lose.

Who am I?
i do not know.
What has changed?
Everything.

Have I changed?...
yes...

What once came naturally
now feels like climbing Everest.
What once seemed easy,
now requires fatal effort.

yet, who I am
and who I am becoming
are two very different people.

And still I find it
as hard to forgive myself
as I find it easy
to forgive others.

And who I am
Is not even worth a glance.

Unable to achieve
what the commoner can,
unable to believe 'I CAN',
unable to repay to those
who gave up their lives for me.

Who am I?
Why am I not what I wish to be?
Why, every time I try,
I fail miserably.

Why can't I push myself forward,
Why does the past keep haunting
every step I take forth,
a voice in my ear,
"you couldn't do that,
how can you do this?"

Questions like,
'What makes you think you are capable'
Answers like,
'you're worthless'.

And now time is running away,
no time left
to figure out the answers,
to find out who I am.

To work like a donkey
without reason
I never knew.

And yet time is slipping by...

How to let go of my past mistakes,
how to make myself believe
I am getting better,
even though I am,
when even the closest
don't believe in me anymore.

How to succeed
when past failures keep haunting me
when every moment I feel 'I can',
my mind tells me
'you can't, worthless'

What to do,
when conscience becomes a curse,
when retrospection becomes weakness,
when perception yields only frustrations.

What to do,
when even the more worthless
are getting more success.

How to fight
myself
when I need all the strength
to fight the world.

How,
with every single sole
believing firmly I can't?

How...

How indeed....

FIGHTERS DON'T LET GO.

Hold on....

When no one believes in you,
you believe in yourself.

When time for retrospection goes by,
let ruthlessness take over.
So was Churchill,
So Napoleon,
So was Einstein,
So Edison....

When you've got nothing
you got nothing to lose.

Hell with others,
it's you who matters.

Why believe,
when you can achieve.

Why retrospect?

we are all our doppelgangers.
and those who don't make mistakes,
don't succeed.

Forget the one thousand nine hundred
ninety eight times
that you could not make a bulb.
Remember,
there is always a two thousandth time
when you can.

Forgive those who think you can't,
they are yet unwise.

Forget worth,
the greatest value is of zero

Forget people,
Tesla was rendered useless.

Forget failure,
Spieldberg never went to Julliard either.

SUCCESS IS WHEN YOU DEEM IT.

Those with higher aims,
don't win at every turn point.

Forgive and forget
who you were,
even Time travel can't bring it back.

Who you were
is not who you are,
who you will be,
is not what define you now.

So, forgive and forget
for what defines you now,
is who you are...

Defining life

That beautiful void
filled with
whatever the possessor
chooses to fill it with.

A dream
that only comes once
and gives a gazillion's work
of big substance.

Agrief,
that measures the strength
of the lamenter,
testing his virtue,
rewarding only his best skills.

Life-
A blessing or a curse!
Perception drives reality.
Perception drives life.

One sees what one wishes to see.

Life.
The word that can be meaningless
or can mean everything in the world.

Life
A place of wonders and happiness
or a slaughterhouse of gloom & depression.

Life.
A seed of knowledge,
or an old maestro's tune.

You can not change the direction of the wind,
but you can adjust the sails.

Life does not define you,
you define life.

Life is not full of sufferings, it's you who give
flame to those sufferings.

It is said that those who speak
don't do.
Those who do,
don't speak.

Those who cry in the crowd,
cry for sympathies.
Those who suffer,
cry in silence.

Life is not a black and white case scenario
life is only a situation
and it is upto the one facing it,
to make it for good or worse.

Life is neither good or bad.
Life is merely an object
for the keeper's choosing,
whether life is paradise
or guillotine

Luck is for leprechauns
and the road paved with good intentions
is the road leading to hell.

You might win,
you might lose
but only those, who, win in the end are
who make life,
 Not those
who are made by life.

So the next time you cry
that- life is unfair,
remember, friend or foe,
whoever you chose to be.

Remember,
life is not unfair,
it's you who is unfair to life.

Next time you whine,
remember this-
NOTHING THAT IS WORTH WHILE
IS EVER EASY.

Remember,
you who have an unleashed potential of living
you who are as unlimited reservoir of integrity,
Remember,
life does not define you,
YOU DEFINE LIFE.

WHY BE A MARTYR?

How many times in our lives

have we believed ourselves to be untainted?

Living in a dignified poise

and an unstained suit.

How often have we been blamed

for infidelity,

for treachery,

for ruining others' lives?

How many times have we taken a bullet

and been reproached for it,

pulled someone out of the way of train

and slapped for it?

How many times have we survived,

stood strong

and been bent

to endure more?

And how many times have we only heard,

'you're weak'

because we have yelled outloud

or told 'you're inhuman'

because we haven't cried

but stood unflinchingly,

shocked inside,

calm outside.

How many times have we lived a life

of living death,

pulling together a remnants,

shattered because of someone else's mistakes!

How many times in the past

and how many times in the future

more are we willing to lie down

for the butter to slice off?

How many times are we willing

to destroy ourselves

for this world?

This world

where you are slain

because you are strong enough

to survive the knife...

This is the world

where words like love, honesty and trust

are either spoken by the victims

or the hypocrites.

A world where crocodile tears

are worshiped,

vulnerability rewarded,

strength slaughtered

and dignity rampled.

A world where

the feigners become lady

and sincere are called whores.

This, my dear, is a charitable world,

where the rich is expected to give alms

to the poor on account of his being unworthy of earning that money.

This is a society of sacrifice,

where the murderer is honoured,

the victim criticized

and murdered pitied.

This is an epitamy of talent,

where fame is granted

when the artist dies.

A world of fighters,

where the fighters are called 'impractical'

and the manipulators are called the 'makers of the peaceful country'.

This is the world we live in,

sacrifice ourselves for,

Wake up and smell the coffee, my fellow pariah,

for in retrospection,

if it were me,

I wouldn't want to be a martyr for this world!

What do we call the people?

There is enough ridicule in the world
to amuse anyone with a sense of humor.
There is enough frivolity in the world,
to crush anyone with a pinch of substance.
There is enough cruelity in the world,
to redefine meaning of humane.

Common man,
a victim that has been,
since the dawn of time,
victimizing its protectors.

The ‘feel-ers’,
who are kind enough
to discard their  ‘feelings’ in a jiffy
and change their ships,
the platoons and symbols of sacrifice,
the first ones to abandon
a sinking ship.
History is proof.
The Church,
 the symbols of humanity,
burned Galileo alive;
The innocent bystanders,
bystood innocently
 the great pyre of Science.

The people,
the symbol of love and integrity,
the fighters, the patriots,
the first ones to renounce Chanakya -
who fought for their country,
the first ones to write books
on Alexander The Great,
who ‘came’, who ‘saw’, and who’ conquered’!

Martyrs, or Martyr –makers?
What is the right name for people?
People – who worship Gandhi
because he never took up a weapon
but let Indians burn,
And never speak of Savarkar,
to fight for their country.

DEAD is the word for them,
breathing corpses
the watchdogs of American companies,
the critics of their very own companies.

 Dead,
the people to criticize the Government for five years
then vote for the same govt on the fifth.

Dead,
The people who comment on everything
and hand the baton
when it comes to action.

Dead,
people who criticize the producer
and consume his very product.

Dead,
the people who condemn an artist throughout life
& quote his great works
on his funeral.

Dead,
if they are not dead
then who knows what they are.
But one thing is for certain
Whatever people are,
they most certainly are not human!
THEY MOST CERTAINLY ARE NOT HUMAN!!

FEAR

Fear of failure,
Fear of being alone,
Fear of being wrong.

The one sure shot way
to ensure failure – “FEAR”.

The one way self carved
leading to self destruction.

Fear is the power to lose,
The amazing delusion of
‘I can’t so I won’t.’

The perfect enigma of depression,
The perfect excuse for escapism.

Fear kills everything-
Your mind, your heart.

Fear kills the chances
to win,
to be you.

Everything was once considered impossible.

Fear a factor to be crushed,
To be killed-
Forever.

Mistakes make a human,
Errors make greatmen.

“to err is human”
To fear is devil.

Control fear
before fear controls you.

Shaft your fear away
And take that first step

Don’t let fear keep you
from being you.

Because come that day, my friend,
There would be no more Steve Jobs
And no more Julian Assanges.
There would be no Galileos
to burn on the pyre for their beliefs,
No more Ayn Rands to fight for the system

Be the change you want to make,
Believe in your mind
Believe in your brains

More the strugglers,
Greater is the certainty
You are on the right path

Judge your success
Not by applause
But by your sweat

‘ I fear not death
As much as I love life’

Assault fear,
Sabotage its approach

And be the you,
You want to be!

Strength or dignity?

Yes I believe in the power of destiny
but I also believe in the power of choices.

I believe in practicality
but I also believe
in the power of belief!

I stand at a fork
both ways are less traveled
but one way requires dignity
the other strength.

Each as prestigious
but only one to be chosen.

So I choose dignity
for strength will always follow.
I choose belief
for 'will' will always follow...
