SPARROW OR EAGLE?

And I feel stuck

in the colorless abyss of good,

of average.

The worst thing about good,

you can't condemn t

for it's not bad

but you can't love it

for it's not great.

And here I am

in this world of average,

of forced satisfaction

with the traces of 'like'

far from 'love'.

The second best.

I don't belong here.

Too late did I understand

what it feels like

to deserve the best

and to be stuck

with the average.

It's my fault

and remarkably,

it's not too late

to mend it.

It's late but not too late.

And I have one choice to make.

Choose to be the best among the average

or leave behind the average

take a risk of life

and strive for the best.

In the end,

I think the choice is not between good and the best

but between being a

sparrow and an eagle.

A sparrow can fly

but she can never reach the height.

An eagle needs to work an extra mile

but once she reaches the height,

you'll be hard pressed

to pull her down.

It's flying

and if a sparrow tries,

she can reach the eagle

but if an eagle tries

she'll forever outfly the flies.

So what to do,

strive for the best among the average

or let go of all

and strive for the best

with the possibility of getting the worst the next time.

I think I'll take a chance.

A road not taken

a life changing risk.

But as they say,

only with the possibility of prison

comes the true excitement of a con.

So I'll take a shot

for good or for worse,

I'll be the eagle...

CARVER SIR - A LIVING LEGEND!

God has created many marvels but the legendry Carver Sir is the most remarkable of all. It can be rightly said that he himself is the creator of many gems out of raw stones i.e., his students.
His office is full of flowers but he always says that the most beautiful roses he has ever set eyes on are his students. For him, his family comprises of "jewels" - the Stephanians.
I dedicate this piece of work to the most honourable principal this world will ever see - Mr. Harold Carver - who has carved my person and mind into what I am today!

Sixth of thirteenth a child,
Carver Sir became
a God of Discipline,
a living legend.

"Never give up"
the St. Joseph student has truly lived his words.
Aroma of adventure
he filled in us
and gave us
dreams to fulfill in life.

A living legend, a great teacher,
a best friend
he aspired to be Naval Air Pilot
but became teacher
to teach us morals of life.

Dumbledore, many name him as;
God, many see him as;
Caeser, many portray him as;
and 'Man Of Dreams', many respect him as.

Rome was not built in a single day,
St. Stephen's was not planned in a single day
And all I want to say
even God couldn't create brains like him
in a single day!

WE ADORE YOU, CARVER SIR!
